For England generally I gave an outline of how to obtain English Wills.  For the period 1384-1858 original wills are available on Ancestry and can be printed out.   From 1858 to 1966 Ancestry has a calendar of wills index.  To obtain a copy of the will an application on form PA1 has to be made to HM Courts & Tribunals Service and sent to The Postal Searches and Copies Department, District Probate Registry, York House, 31 York Place, Leeds, LS1 2BA with £10.  For information about the Probate Service, including online forms http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/infoabout/civil/probate/index.htm
